Dear Fellow Members,
By the time this edition of the house magazine reaches your desk, I would have been asked to shoulder the additional responsibility of Hon. Secretary also, which by itself is a major responsibility at this juncture.
Preparations for the National games have started gaining momentum. How we can accommodate the demands of the game and post game usage of the club facilities is posing a major stumbling block and challenge. I hope, with the support of all concerned we can find a meaningful solution and move forward.
The uncertainties related to conduct of the 35th National Games have drastically shuffled down our calendar of activities for the year. Tournaments, including the ITF event had to be called off which had an impact on our tennis programs for the year. We are still making efforts to have at least some tournaments rescheduled.
The training program under the direction of Mr. Paul had gained a good reputation among the trainees and their parents. In a matter of an year it had shown its positive impact on our trainees. However, due to personal reasons, Mr. Paul had resigned and the positive impact that he had created made a good support structure for training, which can take on the task further even in his absence. We are taking utmost care to see that the momentum gained is not lost and is built up further.
My appeal to Members is to give your feed back on the activities, which will help us to serve you better.
Let me take this opportunity to wish all Members and their families a very happy and successful year ahead.
Warm Regards,
N. Rama Iyer
Hon. Secretary / Vice President
