Trivandrum Tennis Club, as the name speaks for
itself, is the arena of tennis as envisaged by our founder
Col G V Raja. Prime importance has to be given to the
promotion of tennis among the youngsters to keep this
tradition going. Keeping in this mind, tennis among the
children undergoing coaching in the club has to be promoted
to the maximum possible. The club conducted the G V Raja
Tournament in the month of September and Trivandrum Open
Tennis Tournament in the month of November successfully.
A long standing demand among tennis enthusiasts was achieved
by the club with the allotment of AITA Talent series to TTC.
Two Talent series of the age category under 12 and 14 in
November 2007 and under 14 and 16 in December 2007, opened
the way for entry of talented players from our neighbouring
states which gave much exposure for our trainees to face
competitive tennis.
This renewed cooperation of the club with KTA and AITA will
see in the calendar year 2008 a further 4 Talent Series and
1 Championship series on our club premises.
The Club is pleased to inform members that our trainees had
represented Trivandrum District in the All Kerala School
Games and won the first position in the Games. |
